Game of Love

Once upon a time there was a girl who loved dog dog na na, and a daddy who knew it.

We came downstairs the other morning, just like any morning and carried on with our usual routine. I set Lena up on the couch with a banana. (She's surprisingly clean with them except apparently when shes in her bed alone and bored). When all of the sudden leen springs off the couch bursting with excitement and heads for her toy basket. Before I know what's happening she is chewing something saying Mmmm good(something she does a lot) Without needing to ask she proceeds to tell me "dog dog na na". I thought to myself, "how could I have missed that? She hasn't even had any dog dog na na in like a week!?" But, as I looked around the room I began to notice what was going on. Jeff had left leen pock a little scavenger hunt. He had strategically placed them in various spots he knew she would find them throughout the day. (The fun actually did in fact last all day, I think the last piece was found after her late afternoon nap, under the lid of the toy box.) You should have seen her face light up when she found the first unsuspecting na na. She was so filled with excitement. I almost teared up over just how sweet the situation was. I couldn't help but picture Jeff that morning taking the time to place each individual dog dog na na just for her because he knew she would absolutely be beside herself with joy.

Don't worry if you find yourself wishing Jeff was the father of your children, I would too.
