Emerald Isle

A couple of weeks ago we took a sweet little trip down to Emerald Isle, North Carolina. We (Me, Jeff, Lena, Bop Bop, Juje, Dylan, Steve, Bekah, Delia, Milo, Eloise & 2 babes in utero) stayed in a big ol' house by the beach for the week.

Aside from the everlasting journey down, the weather was heavenly all week, the house was cute & cozy, and the beach was just beachy. Lena had a ball playing in the sand and sun with her cousins. She thoroughly enjoyed the tastes, sounds and sights of the beach. The water was unbelievably warm. The kids had lots of fun collecting shells and riding the waves on boogie boards. When we didn't feel like battling sand, we enjoyed the in-ground pool at the house. This proved to be a nice treat, especially during nap time. Jeff and I even got to take a long walk on the beach one night after Lena was asleep, where we could converse about all of our hopes and dreams for the future. We ate lots of delectable food and went through a bottle or two of sun screen. All and all, it was one rejuvenating vaca.

Here are some of my favorite pictures of the week:

Thanks again Vaisey Clan for a lovely family get-a-way that will not be soon forgotten.
