I could feel myself growing giddy with excitement for fall this year. The crisp weather, the colors, the smells, the crunchy leaves that pile up in our front yard (and back yard, and side yard), the layers, the boots, the jackets, the food!, I can't quite say what I love most about this season, but love it I do.
We've got a pretty good thing going on with the family we have created, but I would be lying through my cross-bitten teeth if I didn't say it can be and is tiring and near impossible to manage at (most) times. It must be the time of life we are in, having two young children with a wee babe who still hasn't let his poor mother sleep one single full night's sleep since he arrived on the scene (errrrr). So, it's days like the day these fall-flavored pictys were taken that really jolt things back into perspective for me. It's on days like this I remember why we are doing what we are doing, why I stay at home knee deep in poo and pee diapers, crayon covered tables, floors, and walls, wearing pajamas till noon, and often going 7 hour stretches at a time with no adult contact or conversation at all. I love days like this one we spent at Powers Farm Market. I need days like this. I hope this fall brings you at least one of them. (a couple more for us wouldn't hurt either)
Behold, the makings of a j & k Vaisey family perspective day:

I love autumn as well and I took the in-laws to Powers today to check out the giant tepee full of pumpkins. Mmmm... apple cider donuts. Nothing beats a picture of a baby in a pumpkin patch!
I love Lena's outfit. It shows her personality!! Simon simon simon.....enough said about him....too cute in his overalls.
