Recap of the 4th

Whoopsy. (get it?) I seemed to have been neglecting you. I'm so very sorry for the inconvenience I must have caused. I know what it's like to get on the computer everyday (sometimes several times a day) to check my favorite blogs only to see the same blog entry time and time again. Please allow this and all the previous catch-up posts you will read prior to this one as a token of my most sincere apology. It is, after all, for you that I write.


Okay, let's see let's see...we had some out-of-towners come and stay with us for the Fourth of July. Scott and Suzanne kindly stopped in for a short & sweet little visit while on their road trip vaca. It was so nice to see the two of them, and of course hire Juje once again to sit on the babies so we could do the usual: movies and way too many snack items. To be honest, we get a D- for making Lena's fourth of July dreams come true. Jeff took her to the ward picnic only because he's a primary teacher and it was his duty to go. (see stick pull and tree climbing pics). Hey, at least she was dressed festively. We didn't even manage to make it to the cottage this year for boat ride fireworks. Sparklers you ask? Nope, not even a one. Shoot. Next year we'll be better.

S&S got Leen and Si Vermont Teddy Bears. (Obviously a big hit in our house) Lena claims all gifts given to Simon as hers until he can actually enjoy them. Then I'm sure they will still be hers.

Now excuse me while I go stock up on next year's fire works...
