A Note to Self:
Hey self, what's up? I just wanted to tell you to be patient with these humans today no matter what they do.
They might and most likely will fight, scream, go you-know-what on the carpet(Simon)...and the wood floor(Simon)...and the rug(Simon again), fight you on taking a nap, fight you getting dressed, fight you getting shoes on, make colossal messes every single millisecond of the day, cry, and beg for ice cream sandwiches for breakfast.
But no matter what-breathe and remember their really overwhelmingly sweet faces and be nice.
-Yourself
Don't you ever write yourself pep talks? Or give yourself one before you head downstairs to start the madness that is your day with very young children?
If you don't you should. It helps.
And if you don't need to then you're pretty much the bees knees.
And when in doubt just spend the entire day talking in a very slow but high pitched cakey-sweet tone of voice.
Seriously, try it. It's hard to lose it when you're baby talking your way through cleaning up **** for the third time of the day.

baby talk (aka Utah voice...oh yes i did.) IS (can be) annoying, but sometimes it's the only thing that keeps me from yelling at my children. of the corn.
Oh yes you really went there and I literally laughed out loud!! I will try that voice today and see if it works! Thanks for your ever-so insightful thoughts about the everyday life of being a mom, I love it! It makes me happy that I am not alone in this thing we call motherhood!
